Global25 coordinates
Get your Global25 (G25) coordinates
Global25 coordinates are 25 numbers that place your genome in the reference space population-genetics enthusiasts use everywhere. Here are the only two honest ways to get yours — do it yourself, or have us do it for you.
What Global25 coordinates are
A Global25 (G25) coordinate row is a single line of 25 numbers computed from your raw DNA — a position in a shared genetic space alongside tens of thousands of ancient and modern samples. Once you have your row, an entire ecosystem opens up: distance calculators, admixture models, PCA plots. One thing about coordinates is not negotiable: only the independent Eurogenes Global25 service produces official coordinates. No testing company includes them, and any site claiming to compute them from your file is giving you a simulation. That includes us — we never compute coordinates ourselves, which is exactly why the two routes below both end at that one service.
Route one — order them yourself
Download your raw DNA file from your testing company, order coordinates directly from the independent Eurogenes Global25 service, and receive your row. Our step-by-step guide walks the whole path, with per-company instructions for 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, FamilyTreeDNA and Living DNA. When your row arrives, paste it into our free G25 tools — or into a full G25 analysis, which computes distances, admixture models and PCA across six historical eras from your exact coordinates.
Route two — we obtain them for you (+€15)
If you would rather skip the detour, start a G25 analysis and choose Upload raw file instead of pasting coordinates. With your explicit consent — asked plainly at checkout, never assumed — we pass your file securely to the official Global25 provider, who produces your personal coordinates by hand, typically within 2–5 days depending on their queue. The moment they arrive, your complete analysis runs automatically and your report is emailed to you. The €15 fee is a pass-through of the provider's own per-kit charge, and the coordinates are the real thing — yours to keep and reuse anywhere.
- Price
- €15 on top of the €29.99 G25 analysis — the provider's fee, passed through
- Input
- A standard autosomal raw-data export (23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, FamilyTreeDNA, Living DNA…) up to 50 MB
- Consent
- Your file is shared with the provider only with your explicit checkout consent — never pre-ticked, never assumed
- Wait
- Typically 2–5 days — the provider works by hand; your analysis runs the moment your coordinates arrive
- You keep
- Your official coordinate row (shown in your report) plus the full G25 analysis: distances, admixture and PCA across six eras
Check your file first, free
Not sure what your raw-data export contains? The free file check reads your file in the browser and tells you — per product — whether it can be used, before you create an account or pay anything. A VCF from whole-genome sequencing, or a truncated download, is caught there rather than at checkout.
Questions
How do I get Global25 coordinates?
There are exactly two honest routes. Either order them yourself from the independent Eurogenes Global25 service — you send them your raw DNA file and receive your coordinate row — or start a G25 analysis with us, upload your raw DNA file at checkout, and we handle that same request for you for a €15 service fee. Both routes end with the same thing: your official Global25 coordinate row.
Are the coordinates you obtain for me official?
Yes. We never compute coordinates ourselves — no third party can. Whichever route you take, the coordinates are produced by the independent Eurogenes Global25 service from your raw DNA file. When we obtain them for you, you get the exact same official row you would have received ordering directly, and it is yours to keep and reuse anywhere Global25 coordinates are accepted.
How long does it take?
The provider produces coordinates by hand, so when we obtain them for you it typically takes 2–5 days, depending on their queue. Your full analysis runs automatically the moment the coordinates arrive, and we email you when your report is ready. If you already have your coordinate row, there is no wait — paste it and the analysis computes straight away.
What does it cost?
The done-for-you option is a €15 add-on to the €29.99 G25 analysis — the fee is a pass-through of the provider's own per-kit charge. It is part of a G25 order rather than a standalone product: you receive your coordinates and your complete analysis (distances, admixture and PCA across six eras) together.
Is there a free way to get Global25 coordinates?
Not for real ones. The independent Global25 service charges per kit — that fee exists whichever route you take, and it is exactly what our €15 passes through. The free tools you may have seen simulate or convert a G25-shaped row from other calculators' output; those rows describe the conversion, not your genome, and produce unreliable distances and mixtures. Our free authenticity check can read a row's numeric fingerprint if you have been handed one of unknown origin.
Which testing companies' files work?
Standard autosomal raw-data exports from 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, FamilyTreeDNA, Living DNA and similar consumer array tests. Whole-genome VCF files are not accepted, and a truncated or edited file is refused before you pay. You can verify your file for free with our file check first.
What happens to my DNA file?
Nothing without your explicit consent. At checkout you are asked, in plain words, to consent to your file being shared with the Global25 provider solely so your coordinates can be produced for this order — the box is never pre-ticked, and without it the order cannot be placed. Your data is stored on EU infrastructure under GDPR, and you can delete it at any time.
Do I have to pay €15 again for future analyses?
No. The coordinates are yours. Your report shows them, and any later G25 order — with us or any Global25 tool anywhere — can reuse that row by pasting it. The €15 covers obtaining coordinates once, for the order that buys it.
What if my file can't be used?
We check the file before charging you: an unreadable file, a VCF, or one far below a normal vendor export's marker count is refused at checkout, before any payment. In the rare case the provider cannot process a file that passed our checks, the order is refunded.
Your coordinates, without the detour.
Upload the raw DNA file you already have, consent to the one disclosure that makes it possible, and receive your official Global25 coordinates with a complete six-era analysis.
