Who Ötzi the Iceman was
Ötzi is the world's most famous prehistoric man: a Copper Age traveler murdered with an arrow in the back and preserved for five thousand years in Alpine ice, together with his clothes, tools and tattoos. He was discovered by hikers in 1991, complete enough to autopsy. His re-sequenced genome shows unusually high early-farmer ancestry, dark skin and eyes, and male-pattern balding.
